Hello all, my name is Aaron, I am Puerto Rican and I live in The Bronx. I am a junior at John Jay and I’m currently majoring in forensic psychology. The last time I took an English class was a while ago so I’m a little concerned. I was previously at Hunter college but I definitely prefer John Jay. My hobbies mainly include video games and anime. Hi Aaron! I’ve mostly been avoiding commenting on everyone’s introductions since I want y’all to have space to just say hi to each other, but since you said you’re a bit concerned since you haven’t taken English in awhile–
Both my personal teaching philosophy and one of the learning objectives for the writing program is that it’s all about ~revising~. If you’re writing a draft and are feeling frustrated, confused, or unsure, send it to me or to a peer, and we can give you suggestions! You’re allowed to revise assignments as many times as you want.
And for other parts of the class, my hope is that between the course site comments and the Hypothes.is group, all of you will have lots of opportunities to (digitally and asynchronously) talk with each other and see each other’s work as examples. The only students who have ever failed my classes are the ones who just didn’t turn in most of their assignments at all. If you do the work (or at least most of it), you’ll have nothing to worry about. 🙂
What kind of video games do you like? I just started replaying Skyrim.
The funny that you play skyrim because I help streamers on twitch as a guide . Ive spent way too much time playing Skyrim. its even more crazy with mods . there’s even mods that act like expansion packs and add new regions .
I haven’t tried any of the mods! Which couple are your favorites/do you recommend?
Also aaron, what type of anime do you watch. If you need some new recommendations . watch cowboy bebop, I have a large list but I feel cowboy bebop has always been my favorite.
I love video games and anime as well. To agree with Randy, cowboy bebop really is a good anime.
