Data Visualization Activity

  2. Data may not be accurate because it is stated that weekend counts will be lower due to the fact that fewer sources report to the state.
  3. cases are confirmed by molecular lab test, government revises data which causes an irregular pattern, counties closest to new york city have more cases.
  4. To make this data better the government shouldn’t interfere with the data, coronavirus data shouldn’t be irregular. This is especially dangerous because New Jersey is currently reopened, if the state isn’t careful and the data isn’t as accurate as it could be then they will have to close the state again.

New Jersey is one of the 4 states I check every morning 🙁 One of the others is Florida (my partner is about to travel there for work), and I feel CERTAIN the graph is a lie, since they reopened restaurants with 100% capacity yet it still shows the numbers going down. But I haven’t dug into the data reporting methods or how testing access or amounts has changed, so I can’t prove it.
